Introduction

My name is Jon Saucier (pronounced sō-shay). I live in St. Louis Missouri with my beautiful wife Nermina and daughter Lydia. If you follow my photography on Facebook you will know that Lydia is my favorite model. There is also a fair chance you will meet my wife Nermina during a shoot. She is typically by my side to help make you smile, hold lights and help corral kids during a session! In my free time I also have an obsession with rock climbing. I initially got into photography to take photos of all the wild destinations I was climbing at. I loved photography so much that starting a business was a natural progression.

I specialize in family, senior and wedding photography, but also love to shoot events and real estate. I mainly shoot in the St. Louis area, but am happy to travel to any destination you wish. Through this website I can provide professional prints, canvases and albums. I’m committed to providing you with a fantastic experience and great photographs at a reasonable price. Please contact me anytime to set up a time for a consultation and/or shoot. And thanks again for your business.

My Style

My approach to photography is more of a photojournalistic style. I use this style for most of my shoots. I would always rather my clients act natural and have fun. Photos are almost always better when they are shot "in the moment". Of course you can't get away from some posing here and there, especially for weddings. You can always count on me to come in with an action plan, but depending on the subject and situation that can easily go out the window. Your input is very important to me as well and is always taken in to consideration.

Your Experience

A wedding is a very important moment in your life and it's my goal to ensure that you remember it fondly. I do my very best to ensure that I have thought out every detail of your wedding from top to bottom. I start this by visiting your venue and contacting officials before the big day. I want to make sure there aren't going to be any surprises along the way. I always like to be in touch with the wedding planner or any other member of your team that is helping you with the planning. It is also imperative that we have a detailed shot list for the group portraits--don't want to miss that important photo with grandma!

I will shoot your wedding with a Canon DSLR + Canon Speedlite and always have a back up camera with me just in case. I will also have a plethora of different lenses that will be used during the day as well. I usually keep odds and ends with me just in case you might need something too (needle and thread, I probably have it).  My business is registered with the state of Missouri and I have Business Liability Insurance as well.

Packages and Terms

Classic Wedding Package: My full day wedding package means that I will be with you and your wedding party the majority of the day. We will start with some getting ready photos. Here we will get those fleeting moments with your mom and bridesmaids. We'll grab some photos of your dress, rings and other misc. items. This is your time to relax and have fun. If you are interested, we will also get the "first look" photos as well.

Next is the ceremony. If there are any particular shots you want, please discuss them with me. I will aim to get all of the important moments. I typically use a long telephoto lens for this part, so that I can be as out of the way as possible. The wedding will be followed by group photos and shots of you and your groom. It is best to be well prepared for these shots as this time of the day can get hectic! Finally it's party time. This is where we will get some of the best photos.

Another option is to include a second photographer. Adding another photography is completely up to you. Including one means that we will get a lot more of the moments that I may not get on my own.

All photos delivered to you will be print ready full-resolution digital files. You and your family will have the full rights to the images to post online, print from my site and share. These are delivered to you in a private gallery you can access via hyperlink.

Engagement Session: Although the Classic wedding package doesn't include an engagement session, it can be included for a small fee. Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each ohter. You will also receive an online gallery as mentioned above.

Portraits: A portrait session is similar to an engagement session. You are welcome to choose the time and place. I typically recommend that we aim for 1.5 - 2 hours and try to shoot about 2 hours before the sun sets. I try not to put a cap on the amount of time we spend. I love to try to shoot at the end of the day when the light is at it's best. If we do happen to land on a cloudy day, please don't fret. Clouds tend to give us the best photos and will allow us to shoot anytime during the day. In the package you will get full-resolution digital files, a private gallery, and photo rights to print at share where you would like.
